We are taking a two-week vacation in the Utah snow. The kids are excited to fly because they get to do extra things like watch DVD's and play video games which they don't usually get time for when we stay home. I am also very fond of the airplane: After all the passengers have situated themselves with their head phones and hand-held devices, I am able to recline, softly snooze, and skim a novel.
No CNBC. There is no Bloomberg. The telephone is unavailable. Email, no. Since moving from Colorado to Utah, this is the first ski day we took as a family. Mimi has been working hard for a long time to get us ready for this trip. I hope all her hard work pays off. Now it's like starting over,we had everything totally "dialed in" in Vail. But once we figure out the logistics like where do we drop the kids, what time do we pick them up, what can we do with them after the ski day is over, and where do I go to find/replace their lost mittens, goggles, hats, etc? It's going all turn out fine,I'm sure. I look forward to watching Rachel ski. It was too hard on her last year, she was two and not even in preshool. For ski school she wasn't ready. This year should be a lot easier, and she's going to be so cute!
